Service Update:

We recognize many of our customers have been impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and as a result temporarily closed businesses, reduced operating hours, or transitioned to a work from home model in response to guidance from the CDC.

As communicated earlier this month, we proactively postponed Shred-it service for some locations in an effort to meet your needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been monitoring the changing environment and are preparing to safely resume normally schedule service as businesses start to reopen. We remain dedicated to our mission of keeping your information secure.

We appreciate your business and are dedicated to continuing to provide you with the same exceptional service that you have come to expect from us.

How can I resume regularly scheduled service?

Has my service been postponed?

Some services may have been postponed based on nationwide guidance and state and local mandates related to nonessential business.

The following organizations are not impacted:
•    Healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies 
•    Supermarkets and other retail grocery businesses
•    Banks and financial institutions
•    Government and public administration locations

Is Shred-it still operating during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic?

Yes, Shred-it will continue operating during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We are dedicated to keeping your information secure by delivering our services safely. We have postponed service for select customers to better meet your needs during this time. We can resume regularly planned service if requested. 

How are postponements being communicated?

Postponements have been communicated via e-mail to the contact on file. If you would like to update the e-mail on file, please contact Shred-it’s Customer Experience team at 1.800.697.4733 or log in to your customer account at myshredit.com.

What precautions is Shred-it taking to protect customers and employees?

We are prioritizing the safety of both customers and employees during the coronavirus outbreak. We have implemented infection-control standard operating processes that include, but are not limited to:
•    Executing a daily cleaning program for all service vehicles, plants, and offices that includes interior and exterior contact surfaces;
•    Making paper towels, disinfectant, disposable gloves available to drivers and educating staff on proper use;
•    Ensuring drivers are assigned the same vehicle every day, where possible;
•    Activating an escalation process if staff suspects exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19); and
•    Implementing a work from home policy for employees whose role makes it feasible.

 

When will the postponement start and end?

Postponements are effective March 24, 2020. We will continuously monitor the situation. Shredit.com will have the latest updates as they become available.
