We have implemented several measures to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the company, including:

  • Conducting frequent team member training programs and communications on diversity topics
  • Prioritizing recruitment, hiring, and development of team members who have diverse backgrounds and unique experiences
  • Forming an Equity Task Force of Stericycle leaders charged with creating positive disruption in diversity, equity, and inclusion

Our Employee Resource Groups

Stericycle’s employee resource groups (ERGs) are team member-led networks organized around a shared identity and/or interest. The ERGs play a key role in Stericycle's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives by directly supporting our efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce and cultivating inclusive work environments through authentic connections. Additionally, the ERGs provide opportunities for community engagement, as well as develop and lead activities that promote cultural awareness and education. We currently have six employee resource groups:

  • Blacks Unify Inclusion Leadership and Diversity (BUILD): BUILD aims to create a positive and inclusive environment for Black employees with the goal of creating a pathway to Black leadership through training and open dialogue.
  • Latinx Empowerment with Allied Leadership (LEAL): LEAL focuses on providing professional development resources for Stericycle's Latino/a/x community and promoting inclusivity and cultural awareness throughout Stericycle.
  • Freedom for Individual Expression, Respecting Colleagues and Equality (FIERCE): FIERCE promotes an inclusive culture for LGBTQ+ team members, providing support and resources for Stericycle's LGBTQ+ community and encouraging ally partnership and education.
  • SEEDS Young Professionals: SEEDS' mission is to foster the personal and professional growth of Stericycle's young professionals, cultivating a sense of community and building bridges across generations.
  • Veterans: Our Veterans group is dedicated to recognizing, appreciating and supporting Stericycle’s veterans, military members, their families, and the communities in which they live and work.
  • Women’s Resource for Impact, Success, and Empowerment (WRISE): WRISE is dedicated to empowering female team members to become advocates for their careers through mentorship, networking and professional development opportunities.
