Shred-it Wins Bronze Stevie® Award for the 2012 American Business Awards

 The 2011 Shred-it Information Security Tracker Received Accolades for PR Campaign of the Year 

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and industries were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.

Shred-it was nominated in the Public Relations Campaign of the Year: Global Issues category for the inaugural Information Security Tracker, which is an independent survey commissioned by Shred-it with Ipsos Reid across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom to gain insight on information security policies and procedures among small businesses. Due to the success and media attention of the 2011 survey, the Information Security Tracker has been commenced as Shred-it’s annual campaign, highlighting the importance of information security, the business perspective of information security practices and outlining tips and insights on how businesses can mitigate security breach risks.
