Shred-it Day

ANNUAL “SHRED-IT” DAY A SUCCESS

(CORUNNA, ON) The Corunna Community Policing Committee thanks everyone for their donations to the annual “Shred-It” day that was held on May 8th 2010.

Chairperson of the Corunna Community Policing Committee and organizer of the event, Ron Skreptak, says that despite the weather, 102 vehicles attended and 2140 kilograms (or 4708 pounds) of material was shredded.

These numbers are slightly lower from 2009 when 116 vehicles dropped in with a total of 2500 kilograms (or 5500 pounds) of material to be destroyed in the “Shred-It” truck.

The Committee extends their thanks to all of the volunteers including the high school and college students for their assistance with collecting the materials. Thanks also to the St. Clair Township OPP who opened the garage area of the detachment to provide shelter during the event.

Make-A-Wish

Shred-it, London is thrilled to be associated with the Make-A-Wish foundation of Southwestern Ontario. Clients with small amounts of paper requiring shredding, are encouraged to bring it by the branch, where we will be happy to shred it for a donation. 100% of your donations will go to the Children's Make-A-Wish foundation helping children make their wishes come true.
