Next NBC4 Shred-It Day To Be Announced In July

Shred-It Mobile Shredding provided free document destruction to the public Saturday, May 7, 2011, for the eighth year.
NBC4 counted 5,250 vehicles, 160 tons (or 320,000 pounds) of sensitive documents for shredding, and more than $8,000 in donations for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dozens of volunteers assisted NBC4 staff, including volunteers from Kiwanis Club of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America, Franklin County treasurer’s office, Franklin County clerk of courts office, Ohio Attorney General’s office, and Columbus police reserves.
The next NBC4 Shred-it Day will be in fall 2011, and the date to be announced in July.
NBC 4 Hosts 13th Shred-it Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio—NBC 4 hosted its 13th NBC 4 Shred-it Day with Shred-it Mobile Shredding & Recycling Saturday, May 2, at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. Over 5000 cars and 200 tons of material was shredded and recycled. We also raised over $6000.00 for Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Shred-it would like to thank NBC4 and all of the volunteers and residents of Columbus for their generosity!

Park National Bank and Shred-it hosted a Community Shred at the main office of Park National Bank on Saturday, May 22. Approximately 300 cars came through and over $1200.00 was raised for the Licking Memorial Hospital Foundation. Shred-it would like to thank Park National Bank, the Licking Memorial Hospital Foundation, and the great people of Newark and Licking County for their support and their generous contributions!
100 Tons of Personal Documents Shredded and Recycled at NBC 4 Shred-It Day

(Columbus, Ohio) NBC 4 hosted the 14
th NBC 4 Shred-It Day with Shred-It on Saturday, October 2
nd at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. More than 4,000 cars came through during the six hour event. Shred-It collected 100 tons (200,000 pounds) of personal documents, which were shredded and will be recycled. The amount to be recycled equates to 1,000 trees. Volunteers collected $7,750 in monetary donations for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
NBC 4 would like to thank Shred-It for providing their invaluable resources including their truck fleet and staff. We would also like to thank the Jerome Schottenstein Center for donating its venue. NBC 4 would also like to thank volunteers from Kohl’s, the Kiwanis Club of Columbus and the Columbus Police Reserve.
A special thank you goes out to the event volunteers who joined Shred-It Day for the first time. These volunteers came from Franklin County Treasurer Ed Leonard’s office, Franklin County Municipal Clerk of Courts Lori M. Tyack's office, Franklin County Clerk of Courts Maryellen O’Shaughnessy’s office and Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray's office. Since the first NBC 4 Shred-It Day in 2004, 1,433 tons of personal documents have been shredded and recycled and $53,050 has been raised for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
